PASTOR AID COMMITTEE
Barbara Bennifield, Pastor's Aid Coordinator
I Timothy 5:17-18 [NKJV] “Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine. For the Scripture says, you shall not muzzle the ox that treads out the grain, and, the laborer is worthy of his reward.”
The pastor's aid ministry supports the pastor financially, spiritually and morally. The aid ministry shows love, support, encouragement, strength and service to the pastor and his family. Their basic goal is to create unity between the pastor, his family, the congregation and the community where they pray together. They aim to build a stronger congregation that helps the community whenever possible.
OUR VISIONis to acknowledge the office that our Pastor occupies and recognize that is he is not just a man but a Man of God. We work with the understanding that our ultimate goal is to be a blessing to our Good Shepherd for the up building of His Kingdom. One must avail themselves to this goal, be active in participation, and be a cheerful giver, an open mind and a creative thinker.
OUR MISSION is to extend love and support to our Pastor and First Lady while they provide spiritual leadership/teaching (discipleship) to the members of MCDC. Such support ensures that the Pastor has more time to concentrate on his calling and exercise the gifts and/or talents God has equipped him with. The Pastor’s Aide Ministry is responsible for various items and supplies being at the Pastor’s disposal to accommodate both his office and pulpit needs.
